It was very cold on Monday, but the snow looked so beautiful. Not much to do in terms of growing, but we did do a plan of what we want to grow this year as well as design some workshops for spring – details to follow soon.
After a warming cup of fresh coffee we started putting in steps up to the shed. We’re looking for donations of stones for the steps and some wood bark chippings for round the beds.
Other things we’re looking for include large plant pots (can collect), ornamental tins (ie olive oil or marmalade) or unusual things we can use as planters for herbs – maybe that old pair of boots?!
Our shredder / chipper should arrive soon and then we can start to produce our own wood chippings and make waste materials more compostable.
