On the 14th of February, you may have seen Down To Earth volunteers at the Farmer’s Market in Stroud, with an array of fruit trees and bushes for sale. This is a great time of year to be thinking about tree planting – and we are lucky enough that the ground isn’t frozen!
We had a lot of fun on the day, the weather was great, the market was buzzing as were we. We were very busy and felt very welcome, the staff at the market were very supportive and we got a lot of interest and encouragement from the customers. If you missed all of that, there’s still time to get a tree planted, and we still have some trees left. Remaining stock list here:
We are hoping to have another market stall on the 28th of February but anyone interested may want to get in touch before that date to place your order as we have a limited stock left. If you want a tree, you can leave a comment on this blog post, and from that we’ll be able to see your email and get in touch with you.
Just imagine having beautiful blossoms in the spring, and fruit in your garden in the autumn! The flowers are great for bees, and anything you don’t harvest will be very popular with wild birds. Trees are available for all sized gardens! They are an absolute bargains as well, because we want to make growing food affordable for as many people as possible.
